The latest winner of the British Columbia Lottery Corporation can’t get his feet back on the ground after winning $35 million. While he still processes the win others wonder where the lucky winner will spend his windfall.
Garry Hill the Kamloops lottery winner won $35 million in the Lotto Max drawn last month. The jackpot of the Lotto Max amounted to a total of $70 million which was equally distributed between two winners.
While the jackpot was won last month, it is only this month that Hill came forward before the lottery to claim his windfall. A couple of days back he took home his oversized cheque from the lottery corporation. Now the winner is preparing himself for this big win of his.
Hill who is a semi-retired truck driver is on cloud nine and can’t feel his feet on the ground. He is in a state of ecstasy and can only think about his future plans once he is in the right state of mind.
It was from McGoo’s Smoke N Stuff located in Northills Shopping Center that the winning Lotto ticket was purchased. It was an encounter with a pair of dragonflies that gave him a good feeling about winning the lottery. Dragonfly is considered lucky so Gary Hill foresaw the win.
It was his mother who told him about the winning numbers for the Lotto Max draw which were 7-11-22-28-33-44-49. These were the same numbers he had played this time around and has been playing for the last two years successively.
Not every day someone wins so hugely and it is, therefore, only natural for winners to take their own sweet time to process.
While the winner hasn’t thought about what he is going to do with the winning amount, there are a lot of ideas around. Lottery winners usually plan to use their windfall to buy a house if they don’t own one or use it to pay off the mortgage amount. Other than this some even invest it so that they can benefit from it in the long term by getting returns on their investments. $35 million is a huge amount and therefore, it is better if the winner consults a few financial advisors in order to eliminate any risks involved. Financial advisors can help you to strategically invest, save and spend your money for reducing risk and building wealth.
The other winner who is taking the other half of the $70 million Lotto Max jackpot is yet to come forward. According to the lottery officials the winner lives in Ontario and is one of the two to score all seven numbers that fateful evening. The lottery corporation is eagerly waiting for the Ontario winner to come forward and claim their winnings as well as the Kamloops winner.
