Hailing from Odenton, Maryland, an Uber Eats delivery driver struck it lucky when she won a whopping $250,000 prize on a scratch-off lottery ticket that cost $10. The story was reported on Sunday by CNN, dubbing the winner ‘Grateful Mom’ to maintain her anonymity.

She had been waiting for her next delivery while sitting in the car and decided to scratch off the winning ticket. She disclosed to the Maryland Lottery that within seconds, the Uber Eats app alerted her about her next job, but she didn’t want to do that.
She said she was going crazy sitting in the car. The 47-year old bagged the jackpot via a single play of the scratch-off game called ‘CASH’. The winner said that she buys scratch-off tickets regularly but always limits her purchases. She had bought the ticket from a Quick Save Mart that was located in Annapolis at 524 Defense Highway and she had used the Maryland Lottery app on her phone for checking the remaining tickets that had top prizes.
That’s when her gaze landed on the $10 ‘CASH’ game. After she bought a ticket, she returned to her car and shortly afterward, she discovered she had won the prize. She intends to use her winnings for settling some bills, make a down payment on a house and support her kids financially.
